Edmison Acres is a small acreage working cattle farm located in southern Illinois.
My name is Lindsey, and I was born and raised in the area on a row-crop and beef cattle farming operation. I was always interested in everything that was going on with our family farm, but I especially loved the livestock! My husband and I now own our own row-crop farming operation, but we both wanted to expand with some livestock for our children.
We decided to start with a few Myotonic Goats. That quickly expanded to miniature cattle, and it just kept growing from there! I had wanted miniature Highland cattle for some time, and in 2020, we started our herd with 3 small heifers. The more we worked with the animals, their role in our lives just kept growing! We have continued to grow our herd a few at a time, and enjoy spending time with each and every one of them. The family that raises cows/goats together, has more fun, right?!
